Tallahassee Community College announces an opening for the following continuing contract Librarian position for 2019-2020. Tallahassee Community College is a dynamic and growing comprehensive community college located in Tallahassee, Florida. The College’s 2017 fall enrollment of more than 12,400 students includes nearly 47 percent minority students. The College enjoys a strong reputation for teaching excellence and for producing graduates with Associate in Arts degrees, Associate in Science degrees, and college credit certificates. Experience in an academic library; knowledge of issues and trends in academic libraries; effective oral and written skills; ability and interest in teaching and information literacy; ability to work effectively with culturally diverse library users and adult learners; strong interpersonal skills; experience in provision of library services to distance students within course management system; experience or recent course work in reference and collection development; experience in teaching library research classes; exemplary collaborative work with discipline faculty and related student support units; potential for growth as an instructor; experience with integrated library systems; creativity, flexibility, and initiative; ability to work independently and a part of a team; strong organizational and time management skills.
