The third annual HSRProj Research Competition for Students, hosted by AcademyHealth and the National Information Center for Health Services Research and Health Care Technology (NICHSR) of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), is now underway. This competition provides a unique opportunity for students to use data from the Health Services Research Projects in Progress (HSRProj) database in conjunction with other sources to identify research gaps in health services and systems research.
Why should students apply?
- The opportunity to contribute to the field by identifying research gaps in health services research (HSR).
- The ability to cross institutions to strategize with another university faculty and collaborate with new peers.
- The platform to gain greater visibility as a new researcher in the fields of HSR and data science.
- The space to practice using tools to manipulate data, create visualizations, and disseminate findings.
The winner or winning team will be invited to present their research as a featured poster at the 2019 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting June 2-4, 2019, in Washington, D.C. This will be a rare chance to engage with a wide variety of diverse stakeholders leading the charge to transform health care in a rapidly changing landscape.
