Public Affairs Research Librarian
Reporting to the Head of Academic Outreach the Public Affairs Research Librarian will actively build and maintain relationships with faculty, students, and administrative units within the L. Douglas Wilder School for Government and Public Affairs. The successful candidate will provide course integrated instruction, workshops, individual consultations, and research assistance, and pursues outreach opportunities to promote library services and advance research and learning for public affairs faculty and students.
The Public Affairs Research Librarian will ensure reference collections are relevant to evolving public affairs research demands by actively monitoring scholarship in the field and the curriculum and research interests of the faculty. Academic Outreach Librarians are expected to contribute beyond their subject area by providing collaborative and cross-disciplinary support for departmental and library-wide outreach activities.
