Are you looking for jobs within academia and you are worried about your teaching credentials? Check out the University Teaching & Learning Program (UTLP) through the Teaching & Learning Transformation Center (TLTC) here at the University of Maryland!
Through UTLP, you will learn teaching techniques grounded in research, instructional technologies, and have the opportunity to craft a teaching philosophy statement. UTLP consists of three levels of achievement: Associate, Practitioner, and Scholar. To learn more about the requirements for the three levels, visit: https://tltc.umd.edu/utlp-level-program-requirements.
The TLTC regularly offers workshops, which satisfy some of the UTLP requirements. Even if you are not participating in UTLP, workshops are open to graduate students. Come and engage with other educators to expand your teaching knowledge. Workshops are free and include lunch. Register here: https://tltc.umd.edu/events/workshops
