Senior Editor at American Library Association- Chicago, IL

Booklist Publications is seeking a Senior Editor for its Adult Books department.

Reporting to the Adult Books Editor this position will have editorial responsibility for reviews and other content related to several subject areas, including reference sources, in Booklist and Booklist Online. Also, responsible for other products and services—newsletters, webinars, and live programs—of interest to adult-services librarians, especially those working in collection development and readers’ advisory. This position is also charged with library outreach—keeping an ear to the ground in the public library world and identifying trends that should influence our editorial coverage and product offerings.

Salary:  Negotiable from the high 40s; based on relevant experience.  ALA offers a comprehensive and valuable benefits package that includes generous paid vacation and retirement annuity.
