Digital Scholarship Futurist at Oklahoma State University- Stillwater, OK

The Digital Scholarship Futurist, will proactively study and apply emerging social,
political, and technical trends and best practices in order to advance digital scholarship
initiatives, develop tools and technologies to meet research and publication needs, and be
a leader in the area of research data emerging trends and best practices.

The Oklahoma State University Library seeks creative librarians with a passion for
both learning and teaching who are eager to drive their own projects, innovate, and take
on challenges. Library faculty are actively engaged in the OSU academic research
lifecycle and develop collaborations with faculty, researchers, students, and partners.

Required Qualifications
• ALA-MLIS or Master’s in a related data-intensive disciplines
• Three years professional experience in the use and application of digital
scholarship/research tools and approaches
• Experience assisting researchers with data management activities throughout the
entire research lifecycle
• Commitment to working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within
and outside the department

A successful Digital Scholarship Futurist will possess strong organizational and
leadership skills; excellent communication ability; collegiality and excellent interpersonal
skills; and an appreciation for diverse constituencies.
