Your Career in Federal Contracting

iSchool alum Jocelyn McNamara recently wrote a blog post about federal contracting as a potential career path. McNamara works for LAC Federal, a contractor in the DC area. She gives helpful examples of types of contracting jobs that people can find around Washington DC and gives profiles of some of the agencies LAC contractors work in. Check out her blog post, Your Career in Federal Government Contracting: The Case for “Contractor” as a Full-Time Career Destination.

  1. Contracting, especially in D.C., are a great job opportunity for entry level librarians and archivists. I’ve worked as a contractor with ZAI on a lot of the same things Jocelyn describes with LAC.
