Staff Spotlight: Jeff Waters

Jeff Waters is the Coordinator of Graduate Student Services for the iSchool. He is from Baltimore, MD and holds a BA in Communications from Messiah College and an MS in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University.

What excites you most about working in higher education?

I am energized by students, what they are working on what they are interested in. I like thinking that I could play even the smallest role in helping students have a good experience here.

What project is taking up the most of your time right now? Can you tell us a little about it?

Admissions season.

What is your favorite place in the DMV to grab a bite to eat?

In Baltimore, Clavel, and in DC, Pho 14.

What are you watching on TV/Netflix right now?

Transparent or 30 Rock.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I’ve been playing the piano for 20 plus years and have an album out.

 

What is in your refrigerator right now?

52 meatballs.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I want people to know that I love dogs and that they have a friend in me and to send me dog photos.
