Keep reading for more information and please spread the word about this great resource as we stand together as a University.
Dear University of Maryland community:
The University of Maryland launched the Undocumented Student Resources website this week to support current and prospective undocumented students as they navigate campus resources and services. The site is designed to help students, staff, and faculty navigate the university and locate support services for undocumented students. The Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy (MICA) and the Asian American Studies Program (AAST) have partnered with other UMD departments and allies to create a site which will serve as a campuswide resource for undocumented students. Some of the highlights of the site include:
- UMD Contacts – A list of dedicated staff members from respective UMD offices that work with undocumented students
- UndocuTerp Training Link – A comprehensive education program from MICA that provides staff and faculty with the knowledge, and resources necessary to effectively respond to the needs of undocumented students at UMDskills,
- UMD Resources – a list of resources for undocumented students including information about scholarship opportunities and curricular initiatives
