Last April, the Young Readers Center at the Library of Congress hosted an important symposium on diversity and children’s literature. This webcast may be linked for free in perpetuity. It is also available to be used for educational purposes at no charge.
The Library convened a symposium on using culturally diverse literature to support families and teen literacy. Deborah Taylor moderated a panel of authors including Kwame Alexander, Meg Medina, Ellen Oh, Gigi Amateau and Tim Tingle.
