Graduate Research Appreciation Day: April 6th, 2016

Graduate students are invited to submit an abstract for the Graduate Student Government’s Annual Graduate Research Appreciation Day (GRAD, formerly GRID) which will take place on Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 in the Stamp Student Union. This event provides an excellent opportunity to present your research to an interdisciplinary audience, network with other graduate students of various disciplines at UMD, and gain an experience attending and/or presenting at a conference.


In addition, there will be food, keynote speakers, and travel awards to be won. We accept proposals for brief, dynamic talks, symposia style oral presentations, and posters. To present at this year’s conference, please submit an abstract of your research no later than 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 1st. Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Graduate School, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Division of Research, Pepsi, the Office of the Provost, The Stamp, and the Graduate Student Government, we are able to offer a large number of travel awards. In past years, prizes have ranged between $300-$500.
