Call for Book Chapter Proposals for LIS Students/Faculty

A forthcoming book on large-scale digital libraries for the publisher IGI entitled: Collection development and management in Massive Digital Libraries, which will specifically examine HathiTrust, Google Books, is accepting contribution proposals. It’s a good opportunity to publish in a developing area of librarianship.

Authors are invited to submit, on or before March 30th, 2016, a chapter proposal of 1,000 – 2,000 words (2 – 4 pages) explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by April 20th, 2016 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines. Full chapters, 7,000-9,000 words (14 -18 pages) each, are expected to be submitted by July 30th, 2016. Submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project. Chapters with multiple authors are welcome. Note: there are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Handbook of Research on Collection Development and Management in Massive Digital Libraries. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
